The Big Tear

The Big Tear

The story can be read only on the left-hand pages, the following parts are sealed in the recto page. In order to read the complete story, the reader has to tear the pages open. Each spread offers a different way to do so, with the help of red graphics. Personally, I love the feeling of knowing the story is there, yet unreachable, not revealing its exact text, just keeping the mystery.

P.S. The book mentions that the text of the hidden parts can be found here on the website. It's not true . . .

The Book of Coffee

The Book of Coffee

The Bible for coffee lovers is made from used coffee filters (which creates the unique colouring and a hint of coffee aroma). Alternative coffee commandments are accompanied by a relevant object hidden in the 'pocket' of each filter page (e.g. ground coffee, biscuit, loyalty card, clean filter . . .).

The Cunning Little Vixen

The Cunning Little Vixen

The famous opera by Leos Janacek is presented here as an 'Opera in a Box'. Three volumes (the three acts) are illustrated with original reduction linocuts on the right, serving as the stage. On the left is the libretto in English (like surtitles as in an actual theatre) and the original Czech text is decorated with little line drawings. CDs are included to complete the experience.

Doodlings

Doodlings

Little notebooks made using sheets of paper which were printed by a slightly unhinged office printer, sending out some random (or so we thought) &%arrr!@@= messages. Handprinted colour spots pepper the pages to start you off with some serious doodling!

What is under that stone?

What is under that stone?

Each page shows a stone which can be lifted up to see what might be hidden underneath. A pebble decorates the cover – which makes it a bit difficult to place it among other books on your shelf – but it adds to the tactile experience this book offers.
